Event Dates: August 30th and 31st, 2008
Batfest! is a celebration of Austin’s world renowned bat colony. It takes place on the Congress Avenue Bridge in Downtown Austin. Batfest! features two stages of live music, Arts and Crafts vendors, food and beverages, and of course 2 million bats as they make their nightly exodus from the Congress Avenue Bridge. It is a fun event that is uniquely Austin.
Sponsors of the Batfest! get their brand associated with an uniquely Austin event in addition to being able to help support local wildlife and Bat Conservation International. Past sponsors included Bacardi, Cricket Wirelss, Miller, and KLBJ.

The Austin Batfest! attracts a wide variety of Austinites, tourists and wildlife. The crowd ranges from the children to the elderly as people come out to enjoy the sites.
Tweens, Twenty Somethings and Young parents fill the crowd, coming out to enjoy the great live music. Children enjoy a variety of entertainment such as Bat Educational displays, a Carnival and Bat Viewing. Everybody enjoys the variety of vendors, displays, refreshments and great live music.
